Sassafras Cafe (Missouri Botanical Garden)

Missouri Botanical Garden’s Sassafras Cafe is located in the Ridgway visitor center, a building that features high efficiency HVAC, Green cleaning, and exterior innovations including parking rain gardens and bioswales. Food is served on colorful, washable dishware. Daylight augments high-efficiency lighting indoors, or guests can enjoy lunch on the patio. Single-stream recycling and food-waste composting are featured in visitor education pieces, with water- and energy-saving equipment in use behind the scenes.
