FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS:
“In Your Own Back Yard,” this year’s festival theme, highlights local initiatives and practical environmental advice that can be implemented in communities throughout our region. The festival will be a channel to connect festival goers with conservation groups, local and regional energy initiatives, native gardening, local food producers, and promote the ideas of healthy, active, low-impact living!
Educational Exhibitors will present a variety of displays and hands-on activities that will address environmental issues.
Eco-Arts section will feature artists displaying and demonstrating their craft as well as a variety of hands-on recycled art activities for festival goers to participate in.
Two stages of entertainment will showcase a diverse array of performances from local and national acts.
Play “Sustainability Pursuit” with the Missouri Coalition for the Environment and discover the impacts of our actions on our planet.
The Tower Grove Farmers’ Market will be on hand to welcome spring with area growers offering a variety of produce, herbs, plants and other goodies.
The Earth Day Festival is a shopping destination that features trendy fashions and accessories made from recycled materials, jewelry, handmade items inspired by nature, art objects and things for the home and garden.
“We’re All in This Together”
St. Louis Earth Day has always been and always will be an inclusive organization. Our motto is, “We’re All in This Together,” and we take that to heart. Subsequently, we do not exclude from participation any vendor who chooses to pay the fee. However, we do spend a tremendous amount of time on bringing in Educational Exhibitors that provide environmental information that speaks to the issues of the day.
Our goal is to affect positive change by introducing people to environmentally friendly products and services in the hope that they will begin to inquire about the environmental policies and practices of the businesses they frequent. For the most part, real change occurs when the public demands it. Our role is to provide information and choices.
We look forward to seeing you on April 20 in Forest Park!
