Car Show

All day  |  Transportation & Fuels Experience
Check out the latest fuel-efficient cars on the market, including fully electric cars, as well as both personal and commercial vehicles that run on alternative fuels, like homemade biodiesel and natural gas. Drivers will be on hand to answer questions.

Fashion Revolution Ethical Fashion Show

Made for Freedom is partnering with St. Louis Earth Day for its third annual Fashion Revolution Event. This ethical fashion show will feature St. Louis Earth Day vendors and provide the story behind the fashion. This partnership offers more exposure to Fashion Revolution Day which will help to raise awareness of the true cost of fashion, show our community that change is possible, and celebrate the St. Louis Earth Day participants involved in creating a more sustainable future.

JOIA  Spirit of Earth Day Jam

11 am | Earth Day Stage
Join in a St. Louis Earth Day tradition by representing your favorite species (or combination of species!) in this parade around the Muny grounds of Forest Park! Grand Marshal, Jean Ponzi will lead this year’s Jamboree!  We will celebrate the interdependence and value of all species–plants, insects, fish, birds, etc. Costumes, props, pets and instruments are highly encouraged! Click here to read more about the Parade. The parade will end near the Main Stage where the Honorable Mayor Francis Slay will give remarks on the Earth Day Main Stage at 12:15 pm.

Metro Arts in Transit bus painting

Saturday 12-2 pm
Come by the western front of the Muny on Saturday to participate in a paint-by-number mural painting on both sides of a Metro Bus. The artists designed the mural to depict rain gardens in St. Louis. This project is sponsored by MSD Project Clear.

The Peace Garden is a space to reflect, meditate or connect with all. It’s a sacred place for us to offer our highest intentions to live in harmony and peace with all the Earth. Come visit.

Pet Adoption Area

Come meet adoptable dogs that could become a part of your family!  The Watering Bowl Pet Adoption Area will feature four local pet shelters – Stray Rescue of St. Louis, Needy Paws Rescue, Gateway Pet Guardians and the APA of Missouri.

Rock Climbing Wall

Can you conquer The Spire? Go for a climb on the 24′ rock climbing wall! Pros and beginners alike are welcome take the challenge to reach the top. Sponsored by Upper Limits.

Shuttle Service

10:30 am – 5:30 pm | St. Louis Community College parking lot, Forest Park campus
Catch a ride to the Festival via a free shuttle service, provided by the St. Louis Lambert International Airport biodiesel bus and Super Park compressed natural gas (CNG) bus. Shuttles leave STLCC every 15 minutes on the hour. A free shuttle is also available from the Forest Park/DeBaliviere MetroLink station. Sponsored by the City of St. Louis.

World Bird Sanctuary’s Wings Over Water

Features birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls and vultures. Not only will you see different species of raptors, but you’ll also learn a vulture’s secret weapon and how to identify a bird of prey in the wild. Sit back and enjoy an up close view as some of the birds soar right over your head! Sponsored by Missouri American Water.

YogaBuzz

All Day | West Pavilion (on the West side of the Muny Covered Walkway)  Join us all day long (beginning at 11 am), at the top of every hour in the Yoga Buzz Zen Den for a complimentary 45-minute yoga session with pre- and post-session conversation. Classes are appropriate for all levels, including beginners! Kids (3 to 10) are also welcome to attend one of our kid’s classes. We look forward to growing the St. Louis yoga community with you.

Youth Corner

Education is a key component of the Earth Day Festival. New this year, hands-on environmental education activity booths are clustered in the Youth Corner, a space where children and young adults can explore the art and science of Earth Day. Booths include exhibits, demonstrations, and hands-on activities covering a wide range of topics.

Subaru and the St. Louis Metro Subaru Retailers are committed to being leaders in environmental initiatives, like supporting the zero-waste effort at the Earth Day Festival. Take your waste to one of five waste-sorting stations to learn what is compostable and recyclable. You can also learn about how Subaru applies this concept at their zero-landfill manufacturing plants – stop by their booth to check out the latest line up of vehicles and pick up a complimentary packet of seeds for your garden.
