Who are we?
What is now one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the country, started as a community-organized event in 1989 and still feels “home grown.” The two-day, outdoor Festival features over 200 regional vendors and exhibitors, and attracts more than 60,000 visitors. It is the premier destination in the region to learn about environmental issues and solutions in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere of celebration. Artists, musicians, dancers, and street performers entertain visitors; guests enjoy local food and beverages, and hands-on activities are an important part of the Festival.
Environmental Responsibility Position
Vendors are strongly encouraged to offer products and services that are in keeping with the environmental spirit of Earth Day, including give-a-ways that are useful and can be recycled if discarded. Help reduce your environmental impact by minimizing the number of printed materials on hand and by collecting email addresses for future electronic (paperless) promotion. Vendors/exhibitors are screened for their commitment to sustainable business practices or products. Only exhibitors with an established sustainability offering are permitted at the event.
Who will be there?
A diverse, highly-educated demographic ranging in age and interest. Many attend as a family or with a group of friends. Attendees are united by the desire to discover environmental tips in a fun way. We also draw many who are new to the sustainability movement, making the Festival an ideal setting to promote your product or service.
May I sell products?
Vendors with affordable items ($5-$40) do well. Promoting higher-end products is encouraged but onsite sales may be limited. Vendors promoting services report a strong correlation between this event and leads/new clients. The event is an ideal platform for collecting contact information for future promotion.
What is the event layout?
The Festival will once again be organized into specific areas. Each vendor area is referred to as an “Experience” and provides easy navigation. Each Experience area is easily identified by Festival signage, a listing in the program, and the program map. The Muny covered walkway area is composed of a variety of vendors/exhibitors/sponsors.

Registered booths of all classifications must be familiar with and abide by our event Rules & Regulations. Through the registration process, you agree to these terms. Infractions may result in expulsion from the event with no refund and/or refusal of registration in future years. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Booth classifications & online registration
VENDOR & EXHIBITOR BOOTHS (non-food): This includes all businesses and not-for-profit organizations. No application is required; however a registration form must be submitted. Each registration will be reviewed to ensure that the vendor/exhibitor is appropriate for the Earth Day mission. Booths are more engaging with an activity or demonstration. Registration is closed for 2017.
FARMERS/PRODUCERS: Special registration classification and pricing for producers who participate in local farmers markets during the growing season. Approval is required. Farmers Market Area is closed for the 2017 Festival!
FOOD VENDORS: Earth Day Cafe features local food vendors (restaurants, caterers, and food trucks) to serve diverse, tasty, and sustainably-sourced food and beverages at the Earth Day Festival. This is NOT typical fair food. Green Dining Alliance (GDA) certified restaurants and food trucks will receive a special invitation and first preference to participate as food vendors at the Earth Day Festival. EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY PROVIDERS: This classification is only for booths focused on the facilitation of an environmental education activity. We are looking for content-rich activities to inform, entertain and inspire festival attendees; exhibits or activities of substance that promote bigger-picture issues beyond your agency/organization; programming that will actively engage, rather than passively inform; and, with a focus on environmental, conservation, and sustainability topics. Interested applicants must submit a short description of the proposed activity with learning objectives. Booths hosting Educational Activities are eligible for special pricing. More information…

Special Pricing Applications

The generosity of our sponsors enables us to make participation in the Festival accessible to all those who fit our mission, scaled to their ability to pay. Special circumstances are considered for non-profit organizations, small business or individuals. All applications are considered independently; discounts are not guaranteed and only a certain number are accepted annually. Applications will be accepted through March 3, 2017. We will contact you about the status of your application within two weeks of submission.
In addition to filling out this form, please fill out the regular registration form (above), indicating SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES APPLICATION in the Special Requests/Notes section. We will work out payment once a decision has been made on special pricing. If you decide to cancel your registration once we make a pricing decision, you can do so by April 1st with no penalty.
