“PONDERING PLASTIC PACKAGING”
Third grade students from Glenridge Elementary have created a large scale relief sculpture from discarded plastic packaging which they collected. The work, inspired by the student’s study of artist Louise Nevelson, was created to inspire viewers to rethink their visual environment, especially the overwhelming presence of plastic packaging. The sculpture will be on display in the Eco-Arts Pavilion along with student writings that give insight and context to this plastic problem. Coordinated by Diana Haydon.
MMMELT PRESENTS

Presented by St. Louis Biofuels Club Founder, Maud Essen
When we first heard about biofuels like ethanol and biodiesel they sounded like a sure means to reverse global warming and end US dependency on foreign oil; but as the commercial biofuels industry expands exponentially, it is revealing itself as less than green. Does that mean that biofuels have no place in our country's energy future? Get some food for thought at this presentation and discussion and make sure to visit the St. Louis Biofuels Club booth afterward.
