These positions are paid, based on an hourly wage, but can also be arranged as internships for students. We welcome applications from all interested candidates. Recycling On the Go: Events Staff
Part-time/Seasonal: Positions are for the Recycling On the Go season which starts in May and runs into November. Starts at $10/hour for 6-20 hours/week (work includes 2-3 weekends/month). Most work is during the evenings and weekends: MUST be able & willing to work evenings and weekends.
Position Description: The Recycling On the Go (ROG) Event Staff’s primary focus will be to administer the ROG program at each individual event and support the volunteer effort (when applicable) to achieving an event’s waste diversion goals.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Complete tasks as assigned by the Program Manager and Event Site Manager at ROG events
- Manage waste diversion at events
- Assist in load-in and set-up
- Manage recycling bins, compost bins, and waste stations as needed and determined by Site Manager
- Assist in break-down and load-out
- Keep storage space organized
- Make notes about the operations of an event
- Submit notes in memorandum form for Events Coordinator to use in event reports
- Manage waste diversion at events
- Assist Events Coordinator in the compilation of individual event reports for event organizers and sponsors including diversion data and analysis
